The Trussell Trust runs the largest network of food banks in the UK, giving emergency food and support to people in crisis. Fourteen million people live below the poverty line and in the last year 2,5 million three-day emergency food supplies were distributed to people in crisis.
Aston and Nechells Foodbank are recruiting for a Foodbank Programme Coordinator. As a result of successful fundraising and the need to provide resilience for the Foodbank’s position we believe this is a very attractive employment opportunity for someone with a heart for food justice, and the range of qualities, skills and experience outlined in the attached job description to meet the demands of this position.
This will be a paid position (the first for Aston & Nechells Foodbank, which has been totally voluntary run since we opened in November 2011).
We would like to circulate the opportunity as widely as possible. Please let your contacts know if this may be a position they are interested in applying for.
The role will be 20 hours per week, for two years (subject to funding),
Closing date for applications: Midnight 28th February 2021
Candidate Interviews expected: 7th March 2021
