I have so much to be thankful for as I approach my “three score years and ten”, not least good health and fitness.
Ten years ago, I celebrated turning sixty by cycling sixty miles in one day: actually, I took two wrong turnings, so ended up cycling seventy.
This time, I am planning to walk the northern section of the Offa’s Dyke Path, from Welshpool to Prestatyn, 70 miles in four days. This will be in April: then on the day after my birthday, 7 May, I plan to cycle 70 miles in one day, mainly on canal and river towpaths, around Birmingham.
